Fuel Matrix Level 1 Demonstration
Addresses Fuel Overload in airline operations which results from lack of trust in fuel uplift planning systems. It causes large unnecessary fuel costs and the production of millions of tonnes of avoidable CO2. FUEL MATRIX Level 1 originated to end this practice by optimising fuel uplift calculations in Operational Flight Plans (OFP’s).
Alpha tests on Boeing 777s gave average savings of 1% of fuel.
FM Live module which will be added to Level 1 would add a further 0.5% by virtue of providing all decision making data/guidance to the flight crew.
FM Historical module which will be added to Level 1 would also make an impact.
US $ billions can be saved annually and emissions reduced by millions of tonnes; in this sector alone.
